She looked like she could break in half with that tiny waist as all the disembodied men's heads looked on....Poppy Crockerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06511594971890413159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696383493674768665.post-78803883859393426402014-11-16T22:52:34.827-05:002014-11-16T22:52:34.827-05:00Not me that's for sure Poppy, lol...Did you se...Not me that's for sure Poppy, lol...Did you see the Ballantine Beer book I posted today, so funny, lol...~~louise~~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07335196139849995706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696383493674768665.post-80755694782017735602014-11-16T10:06:28.286-05:002014-11-16T10:06:28.286-05:00I like labeling it "gourd" pie since pum...I like labeling it "gourd" pie since pumpkin is only one of the options! I wouldn't try a new recipe for Thanksgiving either-- better to try on a day when the stakes aren't so high.

Yeah, I'm really wondering about the fish sauce too. Who ever would have thought anyone could consider it interchangeable with butter?Poppy Crockerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06511594971890413159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8696383493674768665.post-9261236974228288232014-11-15T21:56:28.565-05:002014-11-15T21:56:28.565-05:00Sorry Poppy I just can't get past the thought ...Sorry Poppy I just can't get past the thought of using saffron in any kind of "gourd" pie. I bet it works quite nicely. I just happen to have some saffron so I may just need to adapt a pumkin pie recipe just to give it a try. It probably won't happen before the "big day" but I will be saving this for someday:)

As for the fish sauce, I don't think so, lol...

I'm surprised to see that basically the ingredients, although "rustic" are pretty much the same. Yes the language is different but the principle seems to be about the same.

I have seen Fannie's recipe before but never gave much thought to the why. Very interesting, lol...

Thanks for sharing Poppy...food for thought:)

~~louise~~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07335196139849995706noreply@blogger.com
