Funny Names: Beach Edition

I love this recipe from The Best from the Blade Cookbook (edited by Mary Alice Powell for the Toledo Blade newspaper, 1960) because the title sounds like it should be the name of the backup singers for a surf rock band.


Let's hear it for Mussel Murray and the Crabettes! Woo!

    Not to be confused with "Creamettes". Now I'm imagining dueling bands: the creamettes (pastafarian rock band) versus the crabettes (surf rock band). Oh the possibilities...
