Funny Name: Yam Not! Edition

This recipe from Favorite Recipes of Ohio (1964) has me wondering wtf...


Yamzetti has no yams... and no spaghetti... so where is the name coming from? After I stared at it a while, I realized it's basically Johnny Marzetti, but what makes this version Yamzetti? I'm open to ideas!

    Maybe the kids wouldn't eat Johnny Marzetti, so this is the code name they came up with.

      That's a pretty pathetic code, and some pretty dumb kids if they fell for it.

      Maybe the kids pretended to fall for it so their parents would think that they were too dumb to catch on to stuff.
